About ADRIENNE MACKEY:
Helloooooo, I’m Adrienne Mackey and I love life and all that it has to offer! I’m pretty much a Native Tucsonan who graduated from Amphi and the Uuuuuu of Aaaaaa (GO Panthers/Cats!) and have been lucky enough to be totally immersed in this awesome media world—doing everything from sideline reporting on ESPN to being the resident movie critic for the Green Valley News to co-hosting 2 morning shows—for almost a dozen years! I love/live music, sports (die-hard Bill’s fan here), movies, almost all TV—from SOA to It’s Always Sunny to Justified and everything in between, plus I especially enjoy eating! Keith, Blake, & George simply make my heart smile.
I highly enjoy shooting any kind of breeze with Tucsonans/Listeners on the air, the phone and all around town when possible!! So come & hang with me weekends and I promise to brighten or at least lighten your day!!
And friend me on Facebook to check out all of my off the air shenanigans! 😉 https://www.facebook.com/the.adrienne.mackey
About ROB “CHEF” COOK:
Buenos Nachos! (I really like nachos) I’m Rob Cook but you can call me “Chef” Thanks for clicking through to Chef’s page! I am so happy to be a part of the KIIM-FM Team.
I grew up in Tucson (Santa Rita Eagles Grad) and I attended both The University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. (Broadcasting degree from NAU) Love the UA Wildcats and the NAU Lumberjacks, but not a fan of them facing each other.I would listen to Restless Heart, Martina McBride and SKO on the drive up to NAU. Now really into new young artists like Luke Bryan, Eric Paslay, Jake Owen, Brett Eldredge, Brantley Gilbert, Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert, Jana Kramer. Love upbeat songs … Look for Chef to cook up some fun country favorites!
Once I had my 3 favorite songs featured on the KIIM Country Cafe back in 1993. On my menu that day was SKO-(Thom Schuyler, Fred Knobloch and Paul Overstreet) “You Can’t Stop Love”, Clint Black -“Better Man”, & Restless Heart – “Why does it have to be Wrong or Right” Well, it was 1993!
My country roots, Wheeling West Virginia, my parents are from there, live in the Tucson area and are huge country music fans too. Dad played Johnny Cash records and we had a stereo cabinet the size of a small car, the kids couldn’t touch!
Fun country tie to our family, my dad’s cousin was Doc Williams and the Border Riders. (the border they were referring to was the Canadian border) founded Wheeling Records and appeared on WWVA radio for Jamboree. I remember going to a huge mansion as a kid. I don’t claim to have any of their good genes as I was adopted, but was raised country, aka right!
I have a few years in Tucson radio, and in fact Adrienne Mackey was my first & best intern at ESPN. Great to be here with her!

About JOHN MILLIGAN:
Born and raised in Chicago, I am still thawing out after 23 years in Tucson and loving it!! It was one faithful day upon walking into church that I realized I could NOT imagine spending the rest of my life freezing and by the next week, I was in Arizona looking for a job and maybe a month later, I was on the air in Tucson after many years on Chicago Radio and TV. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love Tucson with some of the best views in the world and I will always take a few months of real heat and lots of great sunshine over the freezing cold and dreary alternatives. Yes, by the way, I may not shovel snow any more but I do rake my rocks.
When I first came to Tucson, I was doing traffic reports on KiiM-FM among other my other radio jobs, so it’s truly exciting to now follow my true love, which is the music and entertainment and be on KiiM-FM again. I am proud to be kicking out the country hits and I am really enjoying every listener I get to talk to because you really are the BEST audience and the best people!
About MIKE OWENS:
Hey Tucson, my name is Mike Owens and I am so happy to be the newest member of the KIIM FM family. I was born here in the Old Pueblo way back when, moved and grew up in Oklahoma City where my start in radio was at KOMA just out of high school.
Only 6 months later made the move to Phoenix working various stations doing various on – air shifts, production work, promotions, and alot, when I say alot, I do mean ALOT of overnights. Where I landed a full time overnight slot playing oldies rock at KOOL FM for 7 years.
In 2000 came a career change (not by choice). During that time I missed doing what I love doing so it was time to get back up on the old horse to see where it takes me which brings my passion full circle here at KIIM FM.
Interests include photography, music (except for jazz) never acquired that particular taste, MOVIES (I would put westerns at the top) and yes, I would prefer Clint Eastwood over John Wayne. Love classic cars (wish I had one), and BACON (it’s like a gift to humanity, coffee is too).
I am so excited and happy to be here and a part of a great Tucson staple in radio.
